At Buffalo Solar Solutions, Old-fashioned Customer Service Meets Today’s Technology

When South Buffalo residents Tyler and Alicia Uebelhoer decided to open Buffalo Solar Solutions in the Summer of 2015, they poured their personal savings into the business venture and dedicated themselves to providing customers with the best possible service and a pressure-free sales approach. While it took a tremendous amount of effort — not to mention a lot of blood, sweat and tears — to get the business off the ground, the entire Western New York community is beginning to see the benefits.

Now going on two years old, the company no longer operates out of the Uebelhoer’s home. Showing steady growth every month, the employees of Buffalo Solar Solutions have worked out of their new office at 1212 Abbott Road, Suite A, since October.

VoIP Supply Provides Computer Upgrades at Dog Ears Bookstore

VoIP Supply Provides Computer Upgrades at Dog Ears Bookstore

Thanks to the generosity of VoIP Supply, LLC, the entire upstairs computer lab at the nonprofit Dog Ears Bookstore & Café, located at 688 Abbott Road in South Buffalo, has been upgraded!

VoIP Supply began supporting the community bookstore in 2008, during VoIP Supply’s worst fiscal year. Over time, VoIP Supply has provided volunteers to work at the bookstore as well as their computer lab. Earlier this year, when the bookstore was devastated by a break-in, VoIP Supply knew they needed to help. They donated a complete audio/video surveillance package to help monitor the store and café to prevent future break-ins. And recently, VoIP Supply took it one step further by upgrading the computer lab with all new computers and a laptop to help manage the store’s operations.

If you’ve driven down Abbott Road recently, you may have noticed that something looks different. And in this case, that’s a very good thing!

Thanks to the generosity of CEO Bill Paladino, Cathy Paladino and Ellicott Development Company, and Kevin Burke of Sherwin-Williams, Dog Ears was the recent recipient of a much-needed paint job and building repairs.

The Paladinos sent a crew to paint and complete necessary building repairs, while Sherwin-Williams donated half of the paint for the job and provided the remainder of the paint at half price.

Inview Vehicle Trim: A Lifesaving Idea Whose Time Has Come

By Tom Torbjornsen

Last year I had the good fortune to meet a businessman and inventor named Peter Gold. Peter is a very interesting person, having started the highly successful Gold Glass Group in a garage in 1994. He has the unique gift of seeing a need and delivering it to the end consumer, and he also understands marketing and how to communicate. He holds over 80 patents for glass moldings that virtually eliminated hundreds of glass molding applications. Gold retired from Gold Glass Group in 2009, leaving a multimillion dollar corporation to family members.

Brilliant minds do not stop when they retire from industry, and such is the case with Gold. One day he asked himself how he could use his knowledge and business experience to save lives. The result was Inview Vehicle Trim®.
