WEST SENECA, NY - A beer truck slowing down for an ambulance spilled its load of about 100 cases of beer into the road this morning, tangling traffic at the intersection of Michael and Union roads, West Seneca police say.
The truck was traveling east on Michael Road, approaching the intersection of Union, when the driver had to brake suddenly for the ambulance, which was traveling on Union Road through the intersection, siren blaring and lights flashing.
The truck's load shifted in back, crashing through the wall separating the cargo area from the driver's cab, spilling the beer onto the road.
The driver was unhurt but the spilled beer is considered a total loss.
