Erie County – With just a week to go until the Special Election, Chris Fahey, candidate for New York State Assembly, added the endorsement of Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz. In endorsing Fahey, Poloncarz said: “Now more than ever, Erie County residents need a dedicated advocate who will fight for this community. Chris Fahey is the clear choice for voters in the 145th Assembly District, and he will represent us well in Albany.”

Much like County Executive Poloncarz, Fahey comes from traditional Western New York roots. The son of a Buffalo police officer and one of nine children, Fahey is a South Buffalo homeowner who understands the value of hard work and believes in the future of this community. Also like Poloncarz, after completing college, Fahey worked in the private sector before entering public service.

BUFFALO, N.Y. – “The New York State Thruway Authority demanded Western New Yorkers pay a toll increase, and then they shortchanged us by $200 million,” said Chris Fahey, Democratic candidate for the vacant 145th N.Y. State Assembly seat. Fahey is calling for the Thruway Authority to live up to their end of the bargain and invest in our roads as they said they would when they asked for the toll hike.

Chris Fahey, Democratic candidate for the 145th Assembly District, outlined his plans to bring reforms to Albany.  Fahey is running in the Special Election to be held on March 20 to fill the seat vacated by Mark Schroeder. 

“For too long state loopholes and outdated policies have lead to undue influence in Albany unfairly protecting politicians at the expense of taxpayers,” said Fahey.  “Western New Yorkers deserve leadership that will fight against Albany’s old self-serving ways and instead stand up for what’s fair and right for the residents of this community and good for the economic future of New York.”

Chris Fahey, Democratic candidate in the race for New York’s 145th Assembly District, announced plans to fight for a workable plan for Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) that allows the Institute to gain solid financial footing in a manageable period of time so that the value of its research mission is not lost.  New York State has indicated it intends to cut off funding to Roswell within two years.
